query.domains

Bulk domain availability lookup, backed by WHOIS

FreeDomainsWHOISDeveloper Tools

"Check up to 1,000 domains across 1,000+ TLDs in a single batch. Real WHOIS, streamed results, free."

What it does

query.domains is a single-input bulk domain checker. Type a keyword, pick the TLDs you care about, and it fans out WHOIS lookups in parallel and streams availability back over Server-Sent Events. No spreadsheet to upload, no signup wall, no sidebar trying to sell you a registrar.

On the free tier you can sweep up to 20 TLDs simultaneously for one keyword, or batch up to 1,000 domains in a single run. Results are cached, so the second time you ask for ‘acme.io’ the answer comes back instantly.

Why people use it

Most domain tools either guess (DNS-only checks miss registered-but-unparked domains) or paywall basic information. query.domains hits WHOIS for ground truth, which is the slow-but-correct way, and uses streaming so the UI feels fast anyway.

It's the kind of tool you reach for in the five minutes between settling on a product name and registering the domain — a quick ‘is this taken anywhere that matters?’ sweep across .com, .io, .ai, .dev, .app and whatever new TLDs you're considering.

What's there

The free plan covers most naming sessions: 1,000 domains per batch, SSE-streamed results, registrar pricing where available, and a developer API for integration. A Pro tier is on the roadmap with 10,000-domain batches and additional features.

No tracker, no email harvesting, no remarketing pixel. Just the lookup, the answer, and the price.
